I got my 91 cabbie last august and have loved it ever since. got a new top put on a few months ago, and that's about all i've really done. oh, i did switch out door handles to ones i found at pick and pull that had chrome inserts.

I know NOTHING about cars and have practically no tools so i'm using this as a learning experience. i have a hard copy of the haynes manual and downloaded the pdf version of the bentley manual that is floating around here (but neither seem to be helpful to me).
in it's previous life(s) i dont think my baby was taken care of very well as when i went to get the first oil change the guy told me it had the original fuel filter. whether he was lying or telling the truth, i thought it best to go ahead and replace it.
Besides flushing all the fluids, here's a list of things i was told need to be done:
- replace belts
replace cv axels
Valve cover gasket
Timing belt and tensioner replacement
and of course there's the secondary fixes like cruise control, replace upholstery, upgrade sound system, and so on...
I look forward to talking with everyone and getting A LOT of help!
