Anyways, glad you came out and posted and am proud to have another Cabby/Rocco owner around here :D

Thanks for the welcome to the dark side, Christine  and everyone else, too!
LOL, it does sound like a "VA" meeting when someone new joins!!! You joke, but it's true 8)
calimus wrote:Though I hate seeing a rocco used as a winter beater (they are more rare then cabby's), I won't complain, at least it gets some love. Nice to see another rocco owner amungst all the topless folks here.
Worry not, the Scirocco isn't a "winter beater"- I'm just using that for a "winter alternative" because I don't feel like going through the trouble of brushing snow off the Cabby, removing the cover, rinse and repeat. I'll cover the Scirocco too, but it's just less hastle with a hardtop, you know? Also, I don't want to have a cave-in issue with the Cabby roof

The Scirocco may look like a beater, but that's just because it is

Everyone has to have a beater, for me it's a 94 Toyota pickup. Have fun with it, but since the weather is turning nicer, I'm guessing the rocco will be put away and the cabby will get some love again.

Either way, both cars look pretty sharp.

The results from last weekend tell a different story. First place seems to say the Cabbie has gotten all the love it needs. Now it's the Rocco's turn.

When he says "put away" he means it is getting torn down and fixed up. Being that in the past year I have driven the Roc more than Calimus has, it's time I helped make sure that she is taken care of. Trust me, I am doing my part. I green lighted the new wheels for the Roc, and I am treating her to new parts.

After all, come winter, I want to drive her (the Roc) again. :P

In the meantime, he gets the Jetta. Not a bad trade-off, IMO.

I wasn't sure before, but I am now, you guy's read my post wrong. When I was refering to the rocco being put away, I wasn't refering to mine.

However, yes, mine will be going under the wrench soon enough.

Calmus,
My bad, I thought you were gonna make your rocco' the star of the show. Not that I see anything wrong with it, cept' it's got a roof.

Hell are you kidding, my rocco isn't even the star of my own garage, lol.

An while a vertable rocco does look nice, I like my sunroof just fine, cause I don't have to worrk about pulling over if it starts to rain. :P

Hey I didn't mean anything like that -- you're bored, the Internet is now your playground until the doctor says you can once again play with cars :D So continue post-whoring! 8)
