Hi Chris, glad you made it over to the dark side:P Did you ever notice that new introductions sound like a "VA" (Volkswagen anonymous) meeting?
"Hello, I'm Cristine and I'm a VW addict".
Anyways, glad you came out and posted and am proud to have another Cabby/Rocco owner around here
Mucho welcome Chris,
Hey, if they are selling tortillas at Waffel House (that is a Southern Restaurant on every corner) then I am just trying to get with the program. We share your love for Cabbys but that Rocco has to go. It would make a good trade-in for a great Cabby twin. God Lord, am I ever going to hear it now...
Calimus will probably be the first one to bring the tar and feathers so I'll try to get by with, "Just joking". He has spent a lot of time and money to make this forum available even if he does drive and push a Rocco between repairs. We all can't drive Cabbys so we have to be understanding, BTW, Calimus has probably logged as many hours repairing and updating Cabbys as any of us and if you have a real technical question he can probably answer it or find the answer. Welcome to the forum, you finally found a home.
Man were you walking a tight rope on that post Bub. However, the arse kissing session at the end left ya in my good graces
Just for the record, the rocco has never had to be pushed, it's never left me stranded and come to think of it, it's never been "down" for any length of time. It's been just as depenable as my toyota pickup though now that I've said that, she'll prollie crap a part out tomorrow or sometime soon.
While I have logged some extensive hours on the wifes cabby I think PDX and 1low have me beat hands down. Hell, SoCal who's been hobbled for a good while prollie as me beat.
Though I hate seeing a rocco used as a winter beater (they are more rare then cabby's), I won't complain, at least it gets some love. Nice to see another rocco owner amungst all the topless folks here.

I know being in hat wheel chair didn't seem to be slowing you down at all. Hows the progress with that these days anyway? Don't mean to thread jack, but when you don't actually see someone well....ever, it's easy to forget about things like that.

I'm vertical now, but have to use crutches....all in due time
Spent a few months on crutches and a cane myself. It gets better. Have they signed you up for any PT yet?

Shoot, I had to join this forum, as Vortex was getting to be a PITA. Less I digress.
Nice to see fellow Gwinnettians in the mix. Well southern cabby drivers to be sure.
I had an 81 diesel Bunny for 21 years. I was only stranded 3 times. Once for gelled fuel ( I believed the VW additive BS, good for 15 below ) should of been followed by those two words ya hate to hear MY ASS. The other time by the last of the glo-plugs crapping out. So after that I always carried a spare in my glove with the sockets to remove one.
This is my first Gas Rabbit, and I go back to my love of converts. I have owned 3 and thought about chopping the top off the Diesel but a 4 door Convert.....
hmmmmm there I go thinking again.
