Wants and needs for Cabby, what are yours?

I was budgeting and listing what we need to do to our cars to get them were we need them. I came up with a small list and thought I'd like to see everyone's plans.

This is a more realistic list of what we will be doing, not a "if money were no object" list...I'll show you mine if you show me yours

Cabby Short Term needs

Shifter bushings
speedometer cable
tame fuel injection
new tires for pretty rims
Door handle replacement
clear bumper lights
clear or smoked turns

Long term

body work
windscreen
crosshairs
1/2 red 1/2 smoked crystal tails
More pep-new cam
new top
upholstery

The "DREAM" list of performance upgrades will eventually be drawn up once this stuff is already out of the way.

I've pretty much taken care of everything on your top list in the last year. I'll be doing a lower stress bar in the near future, followed by a lghtweight flywheel and beefier clutch. After that, the cam and adjustable gear. I'm still toying with the turbo idea. There is a used car lot up here that claims to have a nearly new white top that is still attached to the frame, he wants a $100.00 for it, but I haven't been able to look at it yet. That would be my next purchase.

I can't even think about doing any long term stuff. All the immediate stuff I have to do is taking all my money. CV boots, CV joints, heater core, hot running problem, and no dash lights. Seeing as I've got the radiator fluid drained I need to decide if I'm going to replace the radiator for good measure. Oh, and I may as well get a new resevoir too.

New tie rods
Dual downpipe/manifold
Big bore T-Body
272 Cam
H&R Springs
Upper and lower front tie bars
Euro Bumpers
Duckbill
Badgelss grill
Crystal Headlights
Subs in rear shelf
Restore H20 temp gauge
New top

Then it should be a car...send anyone w/stuff for sale my way. I'm sure I'll be posting here with questions as I go.

my lists:

NEEDS (before winter)
-Drivers ball joint (already relaced passenger)
-A-arm bushings
-Steering Rack (plus bushings/boots/tie rods)
-Front wheel bearings

Shuld Do's
-tranny swap
-replaces passenger drive shaft (i'm on a loaner)
-shifter adjustment

wish i could...
-boost
-new top

Jeff, befor the rad, try replacing the thermostat. Since you have the rad out, flush it out and flush out the water jacket on the engine.

Now that the major restroation work is done, I am going to just do some routine maintenace (Timing belt, water pump) this winter.

Next rear I will have to do some upolstry work.
