81 cabby cumming,ga

Post by roadtech »

I just recently purchased a 81 rabbit convertible. It was someone else project and unfinished. Pieces everywhere. I was fortunate to find a 83 in a salvage yard and pulled a lot of good parts, but it did not have the top on it. I see that Bruno123 is in Duluth, ga. I was wondering if there were other members in the area. I would love to get some help on the top. My only has one strut (should there be 2?). the window droops at the top ??? In the process of getting the lights mounted and wired. The dash is missing the heat/ac knobs, fan speed knob. I have looked through the articles on the form for the top, very helpful but could use further detail. Thanks for reading if there is any interest please respond.

Bruno? who the hell is that LOLOLOLOL

Yes two struts, you can get then at McMasters over by Charlie Brown Airport off of 20.
Window droops are usually a bad install.

I have done a few tops.

Yes as matter of fact, I have the Luck o'the Irish...everything I touch turns to fertilizer of the bovine variety.

Having interest and having time are mutually exclusive.
4 Cars, 2 are Cabby's and 3 drivers I always have something to do, that with Kids buying a new house and going over there to "help" fix it..... oh, and I work weekends and nights so my days off are in the middle of your week....and on my off days I start at 4:00am and go till about 9:00p
