The specs for my 1992 VW Cabriolet show I should put in 40 oz +- 2 oz of R12 refrigerant in the ac system once it is totally evacuated. Is it the same with converting to R 134a refrigerant. Show I use 40 oz of R134a?
Also , what is the difference between what the manual calls a Thermofuse 30 amp and 30 amp electric fuse used in the ac circuit. They look the same.
It is located in the relay compartment area.
Thanks for any help you could offer,

Re: Changing ac refrigerant R12 to R 134a
A thermo fuse is one that takes a wee bit more of heat than the regular 30Amp.
Some used to call them a breaker.
The amount of r134A would be the same about 2 cans of 134a.
