This instruction from Brian, from another forum, I hope it helps:
The only way to get the glove box out is to remove the dash. It is heat welded to the dash.
Disconnect the Battery, some of the switches have 12v all the time.
To get to the servo pry off the plates to the switches
remove the switches defrogger hazard and the light. Dissconnect the cable ont eh brak warning light.
remove the levers for the heater control and the switch for the fan.
pry the heater fascia out, then disconnect it.
The heater switchs are held in by two screws remove them, the switch pack can stay, it just need to come loose of the dash.
carefully remove the heater vents (they crack) I used a wire coat hanger that I bent to catch the back of the vent assys.
Remove your radio.
there are 6 screw holding the bezel to the dash 2 are above the instrument pod and one in the middle of the radio slot upper.
There are 3 on the bottom one far left one far right and one in the middle. (if your bezel is cracked you can use a cone rubber faucet washer and a small washer when replacing. the screw tightens the washer against the rubber cone and squeezes it out to catch the sides.
now remove the 4 bolts that hold the dash in 2 on the left door and two on the right.
Pull the dash out to wou and work it over the steering wheel. You don't have to remov e the instrument pod.
Now you can get to your heater servo. Be careful when replacing it, the deflector finger is a squeeze finger fit, and can break....it is easer to cut the arm off the servo and leave it connected to the deflector.
I would suggest that you go back with a metal servo that you can find under the raintray that stops fresh air from entering. (Plastic ones fail more frequently) the metal ones last forever..
Sorry there isn't an easy way to get to it. Once you get your dash out and look at the back you will see the heat welds.
Also on the windshield there are clips that you may need to return to the dash before replacing, they are what holds the dash firmly against the window.

I would also add that if the dash has never been out there are 4 phillips that hold the bottom of it to the kneebar...
