Wheel Widening...

Have you done so much to the car today that it just doesn't fit into one section, or are you too damn lazy to split it all up? Either way, this is the section for you.

Wheel Widening...

Post by lowredcabrio »

Alright, I like the look of the Zandvoort's, but who wouldnt want a slightly bigger, wider wheel?? Well, i found this and i think it looks pretty cool, probably quite costly but i think its cool. I'm thinking 15x7" Zandvoort's.
What are you thinking?
I know, I know, its probably just a phase but i think that would be cool. Also, the lip couldnt be chromed because that just wouldnt flow with Zandvoort's.

Anybody an expert at understanding what to look for when putting larger wheels on a cabby? Logic tells me that if you upsize to 15" x 6.5" wheels (from standard 14" x 6") that the off-set (ET38) must change to accomodate the wider wheel. Some of the wheels from Tirerack change the offset they recommend and some don't. What is the right offset (ET) to use when going to 15 x 6.5 wheels if I don't want to mess with suspension. I found plenty of sights that discuss propper tire size when going to larger wheels, but no sites on changing the ET.

my cabby was running 17s and i rarely rubbed, i lucked out with the perfect amount of stiffnes/damping.

the offset worked out too, they were 42et
