Vinyl dye in a can.... it works!

Have you done so much to the car today that it just doesn't fit into one section, or are you too damn lazy to split it all up? Either way, this is the section for you.

Vinyl dye in a can.... it works!

Post by kamzcab86 »

I was sick of looking at yellow'd rear door cards, so I finally found some spray-on vinyl dye. Behold the results:

They're white again, yay!! :D

There's several manufacturers of vinyl dye, but I chose one by PlastiKote (they also make touch-up paint) and found it at <gulp> Pep Boys.

According to the can, doesn't crack, fade, peel, etc. We'll see in a few years! or months, considering it gets pretty hot in my garage in the summer...

That is okay, occasionally I like most men wobble between the curb and the gutter. One of these days I must learn to control the Dark side. As I don't have any equilibrium I tend to wobble the fine line of gutter/curb. Since my unfortunate mental demise, I have been told since I am now in my right hemisphere most of the time, The artistic, and caring nuturing hemisphere of the brain and that I am more intune to my Feminine side. So in retro-spect most women must be in thier right minds. The left side is for the gutter, where most all of us men live.........lol

So see since your mind isn't in the gutter, you didn't see the connection.

And I being above it won't comment either way.

(barely above the gutter)

Holy crap!!! That result is amazing, Kammy
That stuff works great, doesn't it? 8)

Stuff in a can works great- cheese, vinyl dye, RAID...LOL!

I've had the black variety painted on my sun-visors of my Cab for a year
and 3 months now- it never lost it's luster or started flaking or cracking
at all :D

Sorry this is off topic, but that's the most clever/sexually confusing thing I've ever read about a Cabriolet, LOL!!!!!
Everyone who doesn't know VWs (like my mom) would find that to be the most dirty phrase known to man (or think this "Karmann" is the sluttiest thing on earth, LOL)! That's the funniest thing I've read all day
