As for the books, she kept everything-including the packet with the Volkswagen Ownership cassette tape. I havent listened to it yet, as I am still going through everything she gave me, but in all the Cabbies I've seen in my area, I have yet to see one with this much documentation. I even have her original purchase order and handwritten pricing notes from the dealer for added options.
Well, basic plans are to first, fix the lack of shifter bushings, adjust the clutch pedal and put the snowflake rims from the old cabby on the new one. Then I'm going through all the vacumme lines and other things under the hood. I'll also need to track down about 2 parts for the cruise control system that appear to be missing.
Then, she will get a set of H&R Sport springs and some new shocks. That should lower her about 1.3" in the front and 1.25" in the rear. I'll also need to move the EuroSport short shift over to her as well.
We arn't sure what the true end result will be for her but theres always room for pipe dreams.
Very clean cabby! Just curious , what did u pay for her and what is the sticker price ? If you could , do u think you could scan a closeup of the window sticker and post it. Thanks!

I am needing to scan the sticker anyways for a more permanent copy. The picture will be quite large if it is readable-but suuuure.
And the asking price on the Cabby is no secret since I posted the link from Auto Trader up-she was asking $3500, I paid a little less. Not bad at all for her condition.
This is not a scan, but here is a pic of the sticker price-befpre she added more options.
Well, no can do on the window sticker scan-the @$%$ does not fit all the way on the scanner. I dont know if a Kinkos or something like that has a larger scanner, but I will try them.
