89 cabby drvers outside door handle
how is the drivers side outside door handle attached at the rear side of the handle ? I pull on the handle and it separates at the rear of the handle from the body. is there a screw to hold the handle in place and how is it accessed ? thanks

The handle is attached by two screws.
The front is under the chrome or plastic cover that you carefully pry out.
Open the door, and on the door edge you will see a notch in the door frame, push the rubber gasket down and you will see the rear screw that holds the
back half of the handle.
If you get a replacement, then take the screw off the pawl fingers separate the fingers and the spring. Insert your key into the lock, and smack the lock assembly out from the rear and insert it into the replacement handle. Also use your old pawls.
