Hi all!
I've had this intermittent problem where, if my engine isn't warmed up fully, an I rev the engine past about 4 or 5k, for a long while afterwards, the car won't idle below 2k RPM.
It only rarely happens, as I don't usually rev my engine high because I don't want to wreck it, but the times it's happened, it's always when the engine is still cold or cool.
(I generally try not to rev past 2k, until the engine is warm)
Any ideas as to why this happens?
It's an early 88, with CIS- Lambda
Thanks again!
High revs before engine warms up causes high idle.

I haven't any, cept for look for vacuum leaks, and possible bad injector sprays or leaking injectors that when it warms up the leaky injector gets lubricated and works correctlynabeelr wrote:No ideas?

Hahaha, fair enough.
Thanks anyways.
I'm starting to think it has to do with the timing advance mechanism in the distributor. If that's possible.
