Gee \, They started pushing the Black Friday thing up here this year too.

What a zoo!!

Maybe it will make Boxing day easier? Some how I doubt it.

Just wanted to say that I hope everyone had a good and safe holiday. It's been a zoo here in TRF-HQ land. Got to bring the daughter and her boyfriend down for the holiday and so we spent the whole week together and it wasn't long enough. First time I've gotten to see her in 3 years and first time meeting the Boyfriend.

There is also a small chance that TRF-HQ may be relocating in the future. This is actually a potential good thing. Cristine had an interview with a company that would drastically increase her salary but would require us to relocate. Hoping she gets a second interview but we are in the wait and see stage right now. As much as I hate the thought of moving (been here in Ga for over 20 years and in this house for 10), it would be nice to have a change right now. So, toss some positive vibes our way if you don't mind, we could use it.

Also, Brian, Don't worry, even if she gets the job, I'll still be here for close to another year as we figure it will take that long for her to settle in, find a new house, get this house in tip top shape so we can rent it and for me to find a new job as well. So I'll certainly be around and in that time frame, I'll be doing a lot of work to crabby.

Relocation! Wow, Where to?

You got to give us some detail.

It was quite the upheaval when I moved here. But it was worth it in the end.
I hope Christine gets the job.

If things work out, we would be moving to Lexington Ky. It works out pretty well as it would put us right in the middle distance wise between my family here in Ga and our daughter In Chicago. So as far as a relocation goes, it works out pretty well.

Well that is still "technically the south".

But now you know why we chose Atlanta.
6hrs from in-law in deep LA and 10hrs from parents in Ill.

yea, it's totally understandable. It's still bitter sweet for me, but after looking, the job prospects for me are even better up there, so here's to hoping this works out. We were talking a little bit and figured if things work out well, we might take a nice vacation in 2 years and try and visit as much of the TRF crew as we can or hold a massive TRF meet at our place, or both at some point. We've been looking at property up there and money goes a fair bit further. For a little more than what we payed for the house here, we can get a sizable place with about 3-5 acres of land. Who knows, she's gotta get the job first, heh.
