That is an unusual way to connect the hoses on the compressor.
Now with that said, here is how you should remove the compressor.
I know it says water pump, but read it....
You can Break the lines off the compressor when it is still on the car before you go to remove it as it will be held in place and a whole lot easier.

There is no extra radiator that is the condenser that is in front of the radiator as it has 2 hoses.
One goes to the compressor and the other should go to the receiver/drier, then to the evaporator core in the heater box.
I don't know what your dash controls look like, but I can just imagine a little creative after market strategy. Just keep posting pics, and we will help you all we can.

Hey, sorry.. I've been tied up with school work and the car. I decided to not mess with the a/c system at the moment. I thought it was intertwined with the coolant system, but it's not. Here are more pics.
Also, for some of you who have read about the cooling system problems I was having, my heater core was the culprit. I tried getting it out but gave up for the time being because I can't buy a new one right now anyway. I just rerouted the hoses to bypass it since it's going to be summer anyway. But that solved my issues with it running hot.
I also had some help getting the studs changed for the valve cover - got the rubber gasket put on, changed my o2 sensor, and I'm about to change the battery cables (I just started having a cold start issue). Eventually I'll replace the fuel injectors - or clean them and replace the o-rings. I'm still having idling issues between 80 and 100 degrees (close loop cycle?), and still run it around 1100-1200 rpm. I may try to drop it once its warm and see if it'll idle any lower (since it idles just fine around 1000 rpms when it's cold). Anyway, the car has a dramatic performance improvement since doing the o2 sensor and curing the bad valve cover leaks. I also took some WD40 to the gas pedal (it was sticky) and my seat - now I can move my seat! I thought it was broken the whole time, ha. It feels like I'm driving a whole new car. It's great! This forum is my favorite and I really appreciate all of you guys helping!

I forgot to take a picture of the underside of the alternator area, I'll try to do that soon. I'm guessing anyone who knows the components of an a/c system will be able to use a process of elimination from my pictures to guess what it would be anyway.

This sounds very similar to how mine looks except that the expansion valve is in the engine bay rather than on the evaporator.

Oh, and as I was changing my battery cables (which didn't fix my cold start problem), I came across to wires that were corroded and broke off of their connection. I'm pretty sure they're for the a/c - probably why it doesn't work.
