Did I ever tell you about the Friend of ours that asked if I would do the tile work in her Kitchen? I said yes no problem... Just tell me when... Sheesh, yea, it's been about that long. However, I would never assume that your agreeing to do the job was a guarantee and I damn sure would never say, oh, I need it done in a few days. I will always ask and it will be at your convenience as to when it gets done.
Well, I found out that my fuel pump puts out 300ml of gas in about 15 seconds so the pump appears to be good A beautiful 5/16 inch streammmmm. However the Fuel pressure regulator is @50psi, when running instead of the 36, and on pulling the vacuum hose for it the pressure doesn't increase. Bad FPR.... luckily I just replaced it in Feb, so it was still under warranty... Now I just need to go put it on...
The other bad news is that Autozone don't carry the triple electrode ngk's...
So I have to find a new vendor....damnits.

Sucks about the FPR, but at least it's an easy fix.
As for the plugs, this is something I've been doing a lot of research on now that I have two forced induction cars. The stock ignition systems in any A1 all the way up to my turbo cars is strong enough to handle single and dual electrode. However, it takes something like a high output MSD system to push correctly beyond that.
My suggestion would be to try a good old set of copper or plat single electrode plugs and reduce the gap by 2-4 thousands and see what happens. So if she calls for .034, bring it to .032 or .030.
It's common practice for those of us with turbo's that are being pushed beyond stock to bring our gap down even further than that due to the extra boost blowing the spark out. Not to mention, the single-trodes are pretty damn cheap. Might be worth a try just for giggles.
The A6 calls for iridiums. I have a set of single-trode plats in it and she runs soo much better.
Flushed the nieces Pissant, was having issues with the heater as in no heat..
Has two separate bleeds for the system.. Still can't get it totally hot, so I will bleed it again and again....
If anyone has any ideas.. 2001 VW Passant V6 AWD....

This is a fairly common problem since the pissant is basically an A4 Audi. From what I understand, you may have to back flush the heater core a several times. Then, the trick is to backfill the heater core hoses. Makes a damn mess, but seems to help make a difference. Then, fire the system, let it come to temp, crack the heater on and then bleed the system from the two bleeder screws.
Royal PITA if you ask me, but it's something I've been looking into since at some point I'll have to due the timing belt and when I do, a coolant flush has to happen as well since I'll be changing out the pump
Oddly enough Brian, if you want (read: have to) work on that passat, go to Audizine.com's forums and look in the A4 (b5 chassis) forums as well as the A6 (c5 Chassis). Most of the components are the same between them and the AZ forums seem to have much better coverage of how to fix things compared the to Vortex.

What there is more than one place and a hose to bleed it from? Holy ship.
I though that it was because I had the car on jack stands uneven that was througing off the high point allowing air to trap somewhere else.

If the passat follows the the same hose routing that the A4/A6 does, the heater core hoses come off the back of the motor, go under the firewall, and them come up through the firewall and into the car, right next to the battery. I could be wrong, but from what I'm understanding, it's the same as my car and that's how they run. You can take them off at the firewall to back fill and it will help if you remove the battery.
On my 2.7 there is a coolant bleeder near the front of the engine and another one near the back. Not sure if the 3.0 has the same bleeder at the back. I'll see if I can get some pics of it today since I'm screwing around with the car a bit.
