Any way to block wind in back seat?

Have you done so much to the car today that it just doesn't fit into one section, or are you too damn lazy to split it all up? Either way, this is the section for you.

Any way to block wind in back seat?

Post by No Automatics!! »

I realize after searching this forum that there are options for reducing the wind for the front seat occupants, including those see-through screens made in Germany. But I'm looking for a way to reduce the wind over the back seat, more specifically keeping the wind out of our baby's face.

When we drove with the top down for the first time a couple of days ago it felt great sitting up front. But the ride wasn't so enjoyable for our 6 month old baby. Even at 30km/h the wind was making him gasp for air and I could tell he wasn't enjoying being back there at all.

Has anyone with a baby tried some way to keep the wind off his face while on a car seat? Not sure what would work short of a clear plastic canopy that somehow would mould around his being but I'd imagine I'm not the first to have these worries with a Cabrio - someone out there must have thought of a solution.

Hey Julio, Welcome to TRF.

I know exactly wht you mean. It does get very windy in the back seat.

I'm not sure if a wind deflector would help there or not, I can show you mine next time you come over.

Maybe something like this will help the little guy. You would only need it for one or two seasons.

I made a cheap assed wind blocker that works, and you could modify it to go over the rear seat like a targa top.
