Damn, it was a hard shift!
my cabby is a 1990 with 8v 1.8L, and Auto Tranny.. Tonight i was at stop light... only had the car back for like 2 days.. anyway, light turned green, and i got on it! 1st to 2nd shift was at like 6500ish rpm, and at 2nd gear the tired barked!! Didn't know that was possible in a cabby.. hehehe

Re: Damn, it was a hard shift!
lol.. just did that on my way home.. been practicing for auto-x season this year.
I wish the Auto tranny in Drive or even just second would rev higher before changing gears. In Drive from a dead stop my car shifts into 2nd gear at around 4.5k RPM... makes the thing feel absolutely gutless. but go down and manually shift thru the gears.. you start to feel that 1.8 do it's thing. I was really surprised.
