Re: Jetta Update
I wouldn't sweat the California ECU much. The Mark II's are before OBDI or II and may only be looking for a signal from a second O2 sensor or a different temp. sender signal. The car will run fine if not better without the O2 sensor monitoring the converter and I really don't believe they used a differentt temp. sender. The Mark III's using the OBD II system are slower than the OBD I cars. I may also have an ECU that will work in that vehicle. Do you maybe have the original ECU? If not you may be able to call a dealer and get numbers for me to check.

Re: Jetta Update
The VW dealer can do it by VIN. I had them do it for a Mark III just the other day.

Re: Jetta Update
awesome man. An it looks like I might beat ya to the happy hunting grounds of running fun car. I'm not 100% certain though. Finally have engine/trans in the car and getting some of the other stuff in this week. Also have all new rotors to put on and then I have to get all the fuel stuff figured out for the digi-1 conversion. Once thats done though, I hope she fires up.
