Yes, CIS all the way, and yes,I do go to Midtown often, I have several friends that leave there and couple of nice places a like to go too
. If not to work on the cars it's always exciting meeting cabby owners in town, you already know there are not a lot of us here! lol

Solved. It was the warm up regulator. Thank you for all your help and suggestions.

Me too, it was just such a tricky one to track down...
As always though, straight out of one problem into another. The clutch cable tube on the pedal cluster bracket snapped off today so I had to strip all of that junk out, re-weld it and put it back together.
It's hard having these cars as daily drivers sometimes...

Yeah. I think part of the problem is their previous owners tended to regard them as kind of disposable, so by the time we get them they usually have 10-15 years of deferred maintenance to catch up on.

Yeh, the only good thing is that each time I do some work on the car, no matter how annoying or how fiddly, it's always that much more pleasant and satisfying to drive afterwards.
