We went to the Omaha VW club's annual show and drag at Mid-America Motorway in Pacific Junction, IA. We were the only Golf-based Cabriolet, but everbody enjoys some good show pictures right?

The rabbit averaged about 13 seconds and 48mph in the 1/8 mile drag race. He made it to the finals in bracket racing!

Very nice, Abby's looking good. That 16v looks like it had a super charger kit on it. At least thats the only time I've seen a 16v with the Atl mounted in that fashion.

Abby went to her first show and got her first trophy,a Volkschoice award.

I thought that might interest you William. Personally, I thought the Scirocco the 16v was attached to was not very attractive. It had been de-finned, debadged, with 12" wheels, and an odd choice of grill and headlights applied. The 16v was turbocharged, intercooled, no longer had CIS-E, and no longer had a normal distributor. Plus, I hit my head on the hood taking the pictures.

Wow a real German Iltis. Since the Canadian Army is getting rid ot their Iltis', They are popular here right now.
A Canadian Iltis has Bombardier on the grill instead of the VW badge.

So this is a genuine 100% German built one.
