The car turns over, doesn't fire. when I turn the key back it fires for a second then quits. It was driven through heavy rain and then started running rough. now it won't start at all. whats up? distributor? Thanks.

Take every connector off and spray contact cleaner, or wd40 on them. Then give it another go.
Clean all your plug wires and dist cap, then in a darkened garage have someone start the car and see if you see any sparkly electrical jumps if you do then they have to be take care of.
