I have an 89 cabriolet.
I go to start the car and it clicks and doesn't start up. The battery is is charged and I tried hooking it up to my mom's car battery. Whats the deal y'all.

Well It could be a couple of things, the starter is the best example. Also is it an automatic?
You can try jumpering the starter solenoid straight to the positive side of the battery. BE SURE THAT THE CAR IS IN NEUTRAL, or PARK with the brake on.
If the Starter Spins then it may be a bad cable to it....
