British pimp, I love it, lol
kuklaki and I are in Georgia, kinda tucked in the north west corner of the state. It's a long arse haul to any major body of water, but thats ok, the wife (kuklaki) doesn't need to be pimpin'
As for parts, I have local breakers in the area, Ebay has always been good to us, and a few other websites like http://www.parts4vws.com
I actually will be making a page soon to list all the website that carry parts. Couldn't hurt to post some UK specific ones as well no doubt.

Hrm. That's what I feared. As nice as new is, they always seem homogenized.
Although older, my Porsche is a bit "sterile" as well. The Cabby is a bit more "fun" as it has much more feedback. (A few of the "standard" 8V mods, but pretty conservative) You simply can't upset the 924S. It won't roll the suspension or kick out unless your doing stupid things like exit ramps at triple digits.
A few years back my last motorcyle was a Yamaha R6. A love-hate relationship if ever there was one. I loved the bike to death, but that's what it was going to extract from me on the streets. The only time you could have fun was at insane speeds. The track is where it belongs. I'll stick to my old CB750 SOHC's thankyouverymuch. Rather than a rock solid chassis at any speed, frame flex and tire slide at 85mph can be a good thing if handled properly!
"It's more fun to drive a slow car fast than it is to drive a fast car slow."
Thanks for the heads up! A new car is never on my planning list anyway!
