This seems to be the winter of the interior.J-Dub wrote:I hope to start working on the interior this winter. Hopefully Corrado seats and reupholster the back seat to match.
I was checking out upolstry jobs, when one of the stores I hang out at mentioned that they could get a "kit" for my car, The kit can match the original, or can be made to order.
Most upolstry shops order these kits. They have to be ordered through a dealer, so by ordering through the tuner shop, and doing the rest of the work myself, would save a few bucks and I would get to do it myself.
Something to think about.

I'll let you know. Now that the Topless Bunny is in winter hibernation (A>K>A> my garage) it's time to start these things. I will be checking it out in the next few days.J-Dub wrote:How much do these kits go for? Thats something I would really be interested in

Don't go there, we have winter in Georgia is starts the middle of January and ends in the middle of Feb. As we were leaving for the morning I called over to my boss and told him as we were leaving our new digs, (the entire office moved) that this was sick, it was wrong, plain evil. I went out to my car at 7:00am, and there was frost on the top. Last night there was ice.....this uncovered parking sucks, really sucks big ones. Here we were all snuggled in covered parking decks and now my baby is exposed, helpless in the cold...I spose I will have to buy it an electric blanket.

You havn't expierenced winter unless you have met -40 degrees!
If you didn't plug in the block heater - it won't start!
Seats freeze - it's like sitting on a block of ice!
Tires freeze - bumpy ride
Exaust christalizes - the dreaded ice fog.
They don't salt the roads - if the do it just freezes over and becomes an ice rink!

AZ has more than just desert; we do have mountains and the north country plateaus with pine trees that get snow!J-Dub wrote:All you TX, GA an AZ people need not apply with your damn mild weather all year roundBigDaddy90Cabby wrote:WINTER???? whats that?![]()

Yeah keep me posted because if I can do it myself and save a bit of money that would be awesome.

Plus, all this great all-year-'round weather sucks when your little convertible is having issues so you can't drive it!

Good thing you know we get winter, or else I'd have to take a pic of the three snowflakes that fall down in Feb just to put you in your placeJ-Dub wrote:I am seriously dreading winter this year. Its fun for the first month or two but when it comes to the middle of january I've had enough.
I was just joking with all you guys down south. I know most of you get some kind of winter.

Seriously, though...it is not comperable to winters up in the frozen North-I cant even imagine going back up to that. I lived in N. Wisconsin for a few years as a kid. I dont ever want to go back to those kind of winters.
But what we lack in snow, we make up for in ice

Ah the first winter storm of the season came last night, and true to form, The moronic drivers of Calgary were out in force this morning.
My usual commute to work is 25 min. Today was 1hr and 20 min.
I counted no less than 6 accidents along my route to work and two others on joining roads.
Happens every year, these idiots forget that snow and slush make roads very slippery and cars take longer to stop.
