Blocked the hole over, and still no start. But I did notice some possible bad connections, and some possible bad vaccum hoses. Working my way thru replacing and fixing...............

Kool, will try that, the hole is actually to the fire wall. I didn't notice it until I was putting the dizzy back in.

I did pull the plugs awhile ago, they still were farily bright and shiney as I had replaced them shortly before the car had died, and yes they all had spark. I still don't believe that there is a problem with the fuel pressure, at least up to the dizzy. You should see the amount of fuel that sprays out of the banjo bolt (the one from the filter to the dizzy).

I really don't want to pull the injectors.

the circled spot, does anything hook up to that hole, and if so what??

Not sure what it is that you are referring too. And I cannot find a reference to it in the bentley manual, but will upload a pic it a minute or so.

I took the dizzy out, cleaned it up, it semmed to me to function as it should. Got it back in and still nothing. But I noticed as I was putting it back in the there was a air outlet?? on the backside to which I could not find any connect for?? Is it an air outlet/inlet and where would the hose actua...

Thanks guys, the 84 has been repainted, I am unsure of the exact colour code that it is. This is the way I brought it.

The 81 had also been repainted, it was originally red.

Got the dizzy out, and partly taken apart last night, taking my time, so that I can get things clean, and also to ensure that I can (hopefully) get it back together. Sadly I am starting to think that this isn't the problem. It seems to be in working order. Will update as things go.

This is my '81

But my 84 has been dead for a while now. It turns over, I get fuel to the dizzy but barely get a spit to the fuel lines. Is the plunger screwed?? Any one have a fix??
