Lucas products have saved me considerable headaches over the years. At least it can buy you a little time while you start collecting aluminum cans to pay for the replacement parts. Right, Briano?

A new catback system should do much to improve performance of your '87 cabriolet. At least this has become the most economical "trick" to bump power on American V8 iron. Try to avoid the "fart pipe" sound emitting from so many of our local rice burners. K.Mart plastic hubcaps and...

One little gasket may be causing the leaky drips. . . There's a little paper gasket on the oil filter mount between it and the oil cooler. Oil cooler? Who knew my '86 WE had an oil cooler. Not me. That is, until it failed. Pretty easy fix and economical, too. As offered earlier clean the engine and ...

Ah ha! Another mystery solved and questions answered. My knuckles am chilly. Another source for a foam-like material turned out to be the remnant of a black, solid sheet, closed-cell foam I purchased from Sears. Sold as a tool drawer liner, it now has a second - and better - use. Cool! Uh, I mean 'w...

Suggestions for front seats?

The front seats in my '86 Wolfsburg Edition are in sad shape. The gray and deep red leather is not too bad however the cotton stitching that holds everything together is rotten and giving way. If the leather covers could be removed, perhaps the stitching could be re-done as all the needle track hole...

Have you checked your cabrio's trunk? My '86 Wolfsburg, aka "Wolfster", took in water that wet the trunk mat and then proceeded to drip into the spare tire rim. Having decided not to get in the trunk and have my wife spray the hose, I lightly dusted the suspected areas with baby powder the...
