It is also not allowed on the street like that... Cali would never let me drive it like that. I would get in impounded the minute I tryed it!!! But if I had 2 I could make one a track only... LOL he he he he...
But I will love my dub as a dub... I would rather have the $$ and get a dub engine for the cabby... and a few new toys...

But wait, wasn't the horizon a Rabbit Clone? So....it had a rabbit engine in a dodge......
Matter of fact if you go look at a 80's Horizon the side of the block is marked VW....and I personally like the way they placed the motor mounts. I have seriously thought of converting mine.

The horizon which was also the dodge Omni. Even used the VW tranny as reverse was in the same place on those as it was in our beloved bunnies. Oh and just cause I'm uber tired and feel like a smartass, to clear things up, the Horizon was marketed as a Plymouth. But then agian, dodge/plymouth, whats the difference - nothing. Much the way Dodge/Mitsubishi was in the 90's. Was it mitsu??? Yea I think so, oh hell, brain isn't working now, bah.
No pics yet. Rain's stopped. Got a fuse box out of a Jetta at the local boneyard for $18 and plugged it right in. She's running smooth now!
Took the family out this afternoon, and hit a patch of road work that sent the right bottom shock mount clear down to China! The mounting bolt sheared right through the tabs! I knew something was going to go wrong since the fusebox job went so smoothly...
I'll weld up a fresh set of tabs and once she's sitting upright again I'll have a pic with it's twin sister parked next to it.
Kinda like sanity vs insanity!

Here's the assembled product. I would've gone with yellow tips, but my son would have nothing of it. Unfortunately the purple pinstriped edges aren't showing up in the photos.
...and the interior ala the scirocco's organ donation project. Thanks Kammy for turning me on to the fabric dye in a can (R). I could've never had look quite that good without knowing.

Looks awesome and I can make out the purple pinstripe. Thought my eyes were playing tricks on me at first and then I read what you posted (sorry, looked at the pics first ).
It's a bit glossier than I would've liked, but it'll do. The pictures look much better than in person. This was painted in the canopy you see in the background. There's gnats in the paint!
There's sags and runs in some spots, but it was more of a fun project to do with my son than to look good. My plans weren't to immediately get rid of it!
I've really got to unload the Chrysler. I just think the Cab would be more desireable with the current gas situation.
Rat Rodding at 35 mpg!!
Her Cabby came home today sounding like the flexplate's cracked... I'm starting a re-ring/head job anyway. Guess I'll have to just pull the block out and do it right.
