Rear Bumper Interchageability

Post by boschbabe »

My daughter wants a bike rack installed on the Cabby. It needs a receiver type hitch but there are none available. I was planning on getting an all-steel bumper and weld a receiver tube to it. Would any old-school Cabby or Rabbit bumper work?

Yes any MK I bumper will work. If you head to your local auto wrecker, just remove the four M8 bolts that secure the bumper assembly from inside the trunk. And to save hassle keep the bolts that you removed from one at the auto wrecker.

Or just use a bumper/trunk mount bike rack like many others do and be done with it.
