I'm going to put in a new gasket and will upgrade to the one piece rubber one from GAP. When tightening it back down should I use the same torque setting that the Bentley has for the old cork one?

You have to use the non-shouldered studs.
You torque the bolts down to 87 in/lbs (same as the old ones).
When tightening the bolts start at the middle and work to the outsides just like a head gasket.
When replacing the Gasket, I have found that cleaning the Cam carrier with brake clean to be a good thing, then use a little drop of RED RTV at the corners where the came over is as well as a little in the cam over slot as that helps the thing to seal.
I did a how to change it on the digifant, but it is about the same as a CIS.
