Seal at the windshield
I'm trying to find out where and how much a replacement seal is, where the roof meets the windshield. I'm about to buy a 1987 rabbit cabriolet and he said it leaks when it rains hard cause the seal is worn. The top isnt very old, and is in good condition. Any ideas?

Re: Seal at the windshield
Hi and welcome to TRF.
First we need to determine the problem. I won't say it will never happen, but I've never seen the windshield seal worn out. There are several adjustments for the roof. One being the "J" hooks at the front of the roof frame.
I had them set too loose on my '88 and sure enough the rain came in.
Best thing to do is post a couple of pictures here and our top replacement experts can help you from there.
Hope this helps.
