95 Cabrio - Instrument Cluster

Post by rileedeadeye »

So, I've had the car about a week and have been doing some troubleshooting. I've got my problem with the instrument cluster narrowed down to a loose connector on the back of the cluster. Now I'm not sure how to proceed. Basically anytime I hit a bump, the indicators on the cluster go in or out... usually out. Sometimes I can get them to come back by giving the dash a little "love tap". Would it be possible/feasible to go "sans connector" and wire directly to the pins, or is there a simpler solution you would suggest?

Take the mylar off the connector on the cluster, and place a piece of electrical tape under the mylar on the plastic tongue.
