New to water cooled VWs. I picked up a 1990 Cabriolet last week and am in the process of getting it running correctly. Looking forward to learning from you guys.

Awesome. I miss riding dirt. Currently, my wife and I have a pair of FJR1300's.

I bet that's a smooth ride. In the spirit of liking to tinker with things (ie: the Cabby) I street ride with a 66' Yamaha YM-1 and a 73' Triumph Daytona. You know you're a glutton for punishment when you ride an old Triumph. :banghead:

They are smooth indeed. However, 2-stroke yammi has to be a blast. I also agree about the triumph. The can be a punishing bike to ride, but again, it still has to be a blast. Simple machines are a lot of fun.
