Crabby Cabby boke suspended animation

Post by Calimus »

After 3 days of feeling like total hell this week, I started feeling better and fired up the crabby cabby and actually got her out of the garage for the first time in almost 2 years.

Naturally Cristine was thrilled and wasted no time hosing her down.

Shameful I know.

Cristine took her for a short drive in the neighborhood and she acted fine, but fuel was very low and after parking in the driveway for a bit, she wouldn't re-fire. Gas can to the rescue. Got enough in her to fire back up and a trip to the gas station. The fuel pumps are overly noisy which has me concerned. I'll attend to them soon enough though. For now, I'll be cleaning that rat hole she's been parked in over the next few weeks so that she can make some nice late fall trips around town.

Of course Crabby Cabbyis going to complain a little bit. Like you said, it's been almost two years since she's seen the light of day. I hope Christine gets many happy miles before you have to park her again.

It's funny you guys get Crabby out when I have put Topless Bunny and Posh Bunny away for the winter.

By the way William, your garage looks a lot like mine.

Well, keep in mind Phill, Ga winters are mostly just cold & wet. If we do get snow, it's rarely ever more than 2-6 inches. Now we do get ice, but out where we are, they don't salt the roads but they might sand them. However, if we get snow or ice, the cabby will be in the garage. Actually, add rain to that list as well since the top leaks like a 1940's freighter.

As for the garage, lol, well, that's only half of it that you see. Not to mention the other half of the downstairs that isn't garage space is fairly junked up as well. I've been making a push to clean it all out over the last few months. I've put a damn good dent in it. At least now the garage can house the cabby, both motorcycles and the A6. I have cabby & scirocco parts all over the damn place and I really need to sort it all out and unload the majority of it.

Well I am not going to comment on your Garage, as I too have had issues in the past where I couldn't get my rabbit in mine as well.

But I did take 3 vans full of crap to the dump, and can now park my van in it if I need to.

Nice to see the car get a bath, I hope you did it on the proper day, what with the water restrictions and all. :)

Yes as matter of fact, I have the Luck o'the Irish...everything I touch turns to fertilizer of the bovine variety.

We pull from a different water source. I haven't see any restrictions mentioned on our bill. Besides, it wasn't a full bath, just a spray off to get all the dust off the car. If they want to have a fit about that, screw em' lol.

An my garage contents and the dump will be getting to know each other well over the next two days.

More crap gone! Hauled two truck loads off to the dump today. Included in that were two A1 rear beams, but they were both torqued after some careful measurements. If I keep this up, maybe by the end of January I'll have the garage where I want it.
