sorry to ask this question again, but it wasn't clear to me the fix... tunerautomotive.net had posted that his passenger side lights would go out when the high beam was activated. now im having the same problem (been having) and cant figure it out. i will be doing the relay upgrade soon...just not soon enough.
now he mentioned the + and - being crossed or swapped. WHERE? at the high beam, at the switch, where could it possibly be. anyone have any thoughts... thanks

There are a couple of questions I could ask, but I will make an assumption and guess that it is just the headlights on the passenger side of the vehicle that are going out.
That being the case, check fuse #9 (counting from the left) on the fuse panel. It is a 10 Amp fuse for power to the passenger side (or right side) head lamps in hi beam. I'll bet it is blown.
Since fuses are a protection device, it would make sense to check the wiring for the right side headlights and ensure that the power side is not shorted to ground.
For more information on the Relay/Fuse panel check out this diagram from Cabby-Info.com. http://www.cabby-info.com/images/Electr ... ePanel.png

Check for corrosion on the lamp socket and a good ground. If your Side makers are acting like grounds for your headlights that could be the reason they go out.
Check the fuses.....
Check the sockets.
Check the grounds.

thank you .....
funny enough i went out there with that fuse diagram shortly after i ran continuity checks and voltage readings of course before i checked here, and sho nuff! it was the fuse... silly me didnt realise that, plastic looking thing was a fuse. for some reason i thought it was just a dummy piece of plastic. but in any sense thank you
and p.s. i will be swapping all of those out for new ones....
