Yesterday when I was reconnecting my air bag lights I noticed something relevant that I had missed before.
When I took the Shroud off the main connector for cluster, on the back side of the pins on the mylar was stamped the following on the mylar
example:
93 cabriolet
MotoMeter Cluster.
Cluster----wiring diagram
1. innebel --- dash lights
2. masse ----ground
3. tank ------gas
4. temp ------water
5. KLI ------- Tach
6. UHR -------Clock
7. Fernlicht ---High Beam
8. AIR BAG
9. Del 1,8 -----Oil
10. Cat/EGR -- unused
11. o 3 oil -----buzzer
12. ladek ----- alternator
13. Blink 49a ---Turn Light
14. PLUS ------ ignition 12V
So what do the non-Moto meters say?
And my main white connector can come apart to remove the pins.
If you look at the back side of the connector you will see two catches that you unclip the
middle from and bend back, the pins can be moved about for easier cluster changes and less soldering.
What do your Cluster pins say?
