Post by vbugw70 »

my cuz just gave me a 90, its been sitting for a year, high flow pump isnt coming on so i think its gummed up, can i take it apart and clean it out, or do i have to buy a new one, and if i have to buy a new one can i use a cheaper replacement...the fuses were all good, the relay was coming on, and the tank was not dry

You can try to run lacquer thinner or carb cleaner through it. But I would jumper it to see if it was really dead.

If you jumper the relay, and both pumps work then that is the relay.
If you jumper the relay and one comes on, then it is the one that don't that is bad.
Don't trust the "relay clicks" because that is the itty bitty solenoid that is clicking, and not the actually verification that the relay
is connecting.
