Interior and dash lighting ideas.

As my cabby slowly gets rejuvenated I am now trying to plan on interior lighting fixes. My only real gripe is the dash seems a little dim (the clock is in the dark) and I wouldn't be averse to updating the gauge face. My console gauges are another problem...only the voltmeter works 100%...the bar can't measure below 3 and the oil temp is dead.

Any ideas or suggestions would be totally cool.

Take the cluster out, and you can pry off the cover for the lights, then you can remove the green film then replace the cover. Then go to the yard of your choice and get the bulb sockets out of a saturn dash they hold the pr3 lamps, You can upgrade them to the pr3 5watt, and you won't believe how much brighter you can make it. Then you can replace the bulbs at any time.. :)

For your Gauges, make sure that they are getting voltages, and if they are you can either choose to replace with SUN gauges, the oil pressure is a line that you have to run to the block, or get new ones from EBAY.

You can replace all the bulbs in the dash with LED's and Change the "MOOD" lighting on the whole car.

Just about any set of aftermarket gauges will fit -- the holes in the center console are a standard size. I recently replaced my dead VDO voltmeter with an aftermarket Equus one. The face doesn't match, but it fits just fine.
