Faulty Main Fuel Pump Wiring

Post by 85Cabriolet »

If the problem to my car not starting is due to bad wiring to the main fuel pump under the car, what would be a possible remedy? I know for sure that the fuel relay and fuse are fine so I'm not sure what else could be the reason for the bad wiring. Electrical isn't my bag :(

Dont forget the car is 23 years old. Wiring, like any other man made material, does break down over time. If all the fuel system components are good, then bad wires become a real possability.

I know you want to get going with the top down, but it is best to get the fuel issue fixed right. That way, you will enjoy more days with the top down.

Do you have a multi meter? That will be the best way to test the wiring.

Tested the wiring at the fuel pump I guess my next question is what does this connector do? I would assume provide power to the fuel distributor since it clips into it.

Sorry about the bad quality but its the only camera I had on hand.

That connector plugs into the OXS frequency valve right behind the fuel distributor... something your car definitely needs to have plugged in and working.
