Hook the hooks on the rear first then snap the front. If the tabs are out of sync for your boot that could be why they are a little off, or hard to fasten

An yeah, Brian's right...put the hooks in first, then stretch the boot towards the front and snap it on. I sewed velcro along the front edge of mine so it will hold it down while driving.
