Sorry for the pun...
We had such nice weather Friday I decided to do a little cleaning and went into the trunk for some supplies. Hadn't been in there in a while and imagine my shock when I saw stalagmites and stalagtities of MOLD growing in there! BIG GIANT clumps of fluffy grey stuff everywhere... there's the wet dog odor I've been picking up on lately. I was so disgusted I've been running the Porsche since.
Guess it's time to consolidate the two Cabbys into one. Hers doesn't need much, but there's a lot of "old skool" go fast goodies that I can swap over but it's a shame to "waste" em on a slushbox. Too cold (no garage) to finish stripping the 'rocco down...body's not perfect anyway and I'm NOT a body man. I can weld and such, but pretty is not my forte.
'Course there's always my dream of finding a real nice Mk 1/2 Rabbit/Golf/GTI/Caddy shell to swap stuff into.

What's that William?! I offer up a chance to resurect a Scirocco and you turn me away?!?!?! I promise I wouldn't have told Christine!:D
You caught me in a pity party there. What I really need to do is strip her down and do the body right, but like I said I'm not a bodywork kinda guy. I can fix anything, but ugly is usually the outcome so I tend to embrace the ugly and go from there.
Maybe a heavily industrialized theme is in order... Go for that Eastern block boiler room look with lots of bolts and old style gauges (german script 'natch). Mounted everwhere. Heavy rust is the key. Frankenstein all the way...
Seriously though, I'll be focusing on resurecting the old pup. Even though it was designated a parts car, I can't bring myself to scrap it. I just need to sanitize the trunk and remove the Legionaire's Disease that's back there... It looks like a old loaf of bread back there!

ok, somehow I didn't catch where you were talking about resurrecting the rocco. If ya have to scrap the cabby, then breathing life back into the rocco would be the right way to do it.
However, if ya don't have to scrap the bunny, then don't. Oh, and an industrial boiler theme sounds kinda cool.
