all week at work I've been re-gluing the vinyl on the left door panel.. its about 80% done, the only section left is where I need to add some 1/8" or 3/16" staples to help secure it (which I haven't sourced yet) and today I started some work on the right one.. It's slow going b/c I only have 2 clamps and the glue takes about 3-4 hours to set nicely. at first I tried the spray stuff but it wasn't strong enough.

what kind of glue are you using, that weatherstrip stuff?

yeah.. its the best stuff we had at work. I think contact cement might work well too... but I didn't have any.

The 3m Weatherstrip adheasive that is a good quality contact cement will work, but you have to prep it....Get all the old gunk off, both pieces and use some fingernail polish remover Acetone to prep both sides, allow to air dry. Then spred on a thin coat of cement on both sides allow to air dry. Then recoat allow to dry to a good tack, then press in place. Will hold like a rock.
