Hey everyone Im new and building a 90 Cabby im planning to give it a little shot of juice and I was woundering which cam works well with a basically stock 1.8 8v 268 or a 272 I plan to do a 2.0 bottom when I get a chance but for now im going to see if I can make the little 1.8 scream. Any imput or ideas that I might miss to make it go would be appreciated.
i would go with the 272, but first you need to open that exhaust up. go with a good header and catback (and gut the cat) then drop that 272 in there and that little car will move out!
BTW, welcome to the forums!
If you can't beat them, drop the top and pimp by 'em!

In need of a VW lol
I guess Im going to drop the 1.8 I picked up a 91 passat 2.0 16v that runs good for $75 Im going to swap the brakes front and rear and after I rebuilt the motor with some choice parts ill try that swap.
Damn, thats a lot cheaper then what I payed for the same motor. Then again, I'm not living in an area swimming with 16v's though, so you pay when you do find one.
