Here's a link with some pictures of the Ocean State Dubs annual Fall BBQ.
Was a great time, unfortunately we had to leave early and missed some nice rides...

That's them.
There was a TON of MkIV's there, and only one other cabby. Guess these younger guys make more money than me!
When I was leaving some MkII's were pulling in with a pair of Corrados. Figured
Some of the guys were talking of picking up "project" MkII's as well. and looking ours over quite a bit for reference.
I was trolling for a possible hard top project, or a 16V for my cabby, but I should just finish stripping down my 'rocco and starting there.
I thought I was going to get shredded amongst so many nice rides, but I kept getting handshakes and "Dude, that car is sick" comments. I may be a certified "old dude" now, but I think "sick" is good nowadays...

Thanks Phil.
They look a bit orange in the picture though. Hers is an intensly bright red. Like a freshly bleeding cut it's so bright!
Not a dig, but I was bumming that I didn't have my Topless Rabbit stickers in time...

Hope to see the pics kda!kda339 wrote:Nice pic. The GTG was great I persume? We are having a GTG here on Sat hopefully I can get some good pics. The weather just turned for the worst and the place that we are going to for Okoberfest just got 2" of snow Oh well the disadvantages of living in snow country.
Had a good time, albeit short as we had to leave early. I missed the whiffleball game and the Dakota pickup with the taped "VW + 10" on it. The owner's Dub broke down and he "disguised" his pickup! If you go to the homepage you can see it there... http://www.oceanstatedubs.com
Best of luck up there in the white stuff!
