If it is, I think it should make it's maiden voyage out to my place so the owner can sit down and have some brew. That or I might be willing to make the trip out to the owners neck of the woods.

So what do ya say Brian? How about I furnish the beer this time?

Well we might just have to do that, if I get it running, had a late start today, had a bunch of chores to do... Hopefully i will get the tranny on but am just getting started on it....

But the maiden cruise might have to be a 45 mile trip of discovery?

Sure why not. Shouldn't the maiden voyage have a sence of adventure? Not to mention that ender dire circumstances, it could be rescued.

However, knowing that you might not like that idea, thats why I offered to head out your way :D You've made a few trips to my neck of the woods, turn-about is fair play right?

Well mark this down Kiddies, the Bentley dosen't tell you what the clearance is between the Torque perverter and the bell housing.....And since my Torq perverter fell off I needed to know... Well from the Haynes, there is 1and about 1/4 inch gap between the Torg hub and the edge of the Bell housing. Actually 30mm or 1 13/64 ... It took me two hours to get it in line,,, and secured....

Ten as the tranny was ready to slap home I realized that I had forgotten to remove one of the tranny bolts that hold the Front mount on, I had used it to stabilize the engine, so with that said the tranny is going in tomorrow.... Seems my whole morning was tied to Insurance agents, and Kiddies ...... So any way I did make progress...Just not as much as i wanted to.

any progress counts man. Back when I was rebuilding the crabby cabby, I would count just looking at the car as progress since the project was dragging on for so long

Well the tranny is 3/4 in, the lower motor / tranny mount bolt is home, and the drivers side mount is on and bolted.... I just had to rock the tranny to get all the bolts started. With that being said, I am taking a break, lets hope I remember to cut the strap holding the torque pervertor on......

Stay tuned for more episodes of as the tranny turns..

Keep it up brian. Once the tranny is all in a bolted down, it's only about 2 hours work to get everything hooked up and ready to test fire.

Two Hours? loloolololollllllllll It takes that long to get the Starter back on.......Then I have to replace the Accell cable that I broke, and other shit..... Then I REally need to connect the Exhaust back before the test fire and add a quarts or 3 of Tranny fluid.....

I counldn't find the demension to tell me the torque pervertor was home, Not in the Bentley or the Chiltons. They pay lip service to the Automatic.....But here is where the Haynes came in handi. It had the Pic and the Mesurement Otherwise I would of just been guessing.

For all that want to know the Automatic has 3 splined shafts, you can turn 2 of them but the big un you can't... So to get the Torque Pervertor in you have to have all 3 shaflts lined up....or you will not get the 1 13/64 clearance between the edges of the bell housing and the Nipple (sorry) end of the torgue pervertor....

So on then twist push back off and repeat till you get the clearance clarence.

it is 5:00 pm, The tranny is in, and bolted on, the Torque Pevertor is bolted to the flywheel.....

So with that being said, I am in the process of bolting on the Alles, and attaching the starter.....

Then the exhaust....

Then time it and install the battery some oil and rock and roll.....

Stay tuned for further episodes of as the Crank turns.....

I decided to do the topside stuff as in set the timing, and the airbox all the cables, run the new accelerator cable, and put on the Skid Plate, and torque all the bolts.

Tomorrow, Axles Starter and exhaust.... then Fill with oil and give it a go.

Then I have to reassemble the interior...
