Finally have engine/trans in the car and getting some of the other stuff in this week. Also have all new rotors to put on and then I have to get all the fuel stuff figured out for the digi-1 conversion. Once thats done though, I hope she fires up.
good luck
the interior should be in this weekend, then its a matter of getting the parts for the engine...mostly monetary crap...im buying them all new
got the headliner and crap, now im printing out the bentley for the rocco sunroof so i can install it...then the rest of the interior goes in...still have to find where i put the material for the headliner
so i installed the sunroof only to read the directions closer and found out the headliner piece is installed first...now i have to pull it back out and find that damn material

Ugh, I hate when stuff like that happens. However, in the end it'll be worth the hassle; it'll be like a new car when it's all done!

(RTFMF)2 We all have done that at one point or another.

That great news man. I'm hoping to have mine running and test driven by the end of this coming weekend. I'm down to the rear brakes and new wiring harness hanging me up. Drivers rear caliper carrier has a bolt that thinks it has perminent residency since it's been there for 21 years. 3 Days of PB blaster, propane torch and a air ratched should change it's mind I hope.

last Saturday i got alot of the odds and ends nuts and bolts i need to put the interior in, but i ran across a little problem that i thought i already fixed....i was putting the heater box in and had to clean the paint off the threads so the nuts would go on, well apparently i cross threaded one of them when i was putting it on so now i have to pull the heater box back out and re clean the threads (aka die the threads) on one of the mounting bolts. not a big deal, but it kinda took the wind out of my sails this weekend. i also need to get some solder and heat shrink so i can fix my ignition wires (i had an alarm with ignition kill that i removed), and i need to make a jumper wire for the heater fan due to the fact i have deleted the A/C, its an easy fix, just kinda lost interest this weekend due to the cross threaded bolt.
the thing thats kinda getting to me is i have to get the interior upholstered befroe i can put it in simply for the fact of the sunroof panel, i dont want to put it all in just to take it back out if you know what i mean
I feel your pain, I think we all have. You start busting your butt and making headway, and bam a broken bolt, stripped hole, cross threaded nut... and it takes the wind out of your sails.
But then again persevering in the face of infinite challenges is all what owning a "Dub" is all about. Think of the enjoyment and smiles per gallon you will have when finished.
So you get a little singed when trying to light the pilot light on your water heater........The hot water is worth it?
Now on a lighter note. I drove my Cabby to the Gas Station, and
