What I did on my summer vacation

Have you done so much to the car today that it just doesn't fit into one section, or are you too damn lazy to split it all up? Either way, this is the section for you.

What I did on my summer vacation

Post by Briano1234 »

Well, I had to hang a new cat on the bunny, seeing that it wouldn't pass inspection. Then I removed the interior and cleaned the seats front, and rears.... Shampooed the carpet. And prepped the body for painting as soon as I can get the windshield replaced and the rust repaired...

William will tell ya one side had some severe damage that I half-assed fixed. Well I got serious.....

I also painted the klipper kit wrinkle black, but that stuff (krylon) failed so I went with Rust-o-leum's texture paint, followed by krylon Ultra Flat black, topped off with Krylon Matte Finish..

It is just about finished, just have the windshield and the wheels to polish.... Momma said I couldn't use the entire time on my rabbit...DAMN.

Yes as matter of fact, I have the Luck o'the Irish...everything I touch turns to fertilizer of the bovine variety.

damn Brian, you're cabby is looking great! One of these weekends I'm just going to have to make it out your way and we can find something on your car to work on.

It's a real shame we are so close and have only met once. We should do something about that. Especially now that I'm also a topless rabbit owner and no longer an outsider tied into this great group due to my wife. :P

Oh, just a tad bit of my own cabby info, since I've done some tune up stuff, with the top down, she's now averaging 31mpg with mixed city/highway driving. An thats with highway speeds of about 75mph. I use the cruise control to hold me there as she would like to do more, but she's not the rocco and going much farther is more of a stress on half the valves.

I was going to fix the front bumper, it is a little lifted on the right side, I bent the metal frame straight the plastic needs to be heated and glued back, but with the curled corner upper lip, it gives it that Devil may care Elvis lip....Thank you very much..I may just keep it that way......

Looking sweet Briano!
Just tell the wife that with the mileage it gets, it may be the ONLY car worth working on!
