I really need to post the finished pictures up. Got out the 000 dagger and some purple one shot to outline the flames. Stayed with the single color with no fade. Again, my 12 yr old is the art director on this one. It's been a lot of fun to do it with him. There's some sags and runs in the paint and the body wasn't blocked beforehand, but hey, it's a rat rod!

I've been somewhat distracted lately. Shift change back to 3rd and a new "baby" to feed. Definately NOT a rat rod: :D

The "Boss" has declared the driveway has too many "babies" in it. So something's gotta go. It may just be the flaming Cabby...

Speaking of cabby... I found a green one with a white top here in norcal. I drive by the house everytime I go to my parents house. I was thinking about offering the guy a few bucks to take it off his hands. It doesnt look like the cabby EVER moves and I feel sorry for it.

It's been raining... HARD the past couple of days after 8 weeks of sun. Maybe it's an omen...
I'll take pics of it when the sun comes back. Promise.

Hey SolCal, it's driveable inasmuch as I would take off to the west coast with it or pretty much anywhere! It's been a great reliable commuter. That's why I'm probably going to get rid of it. :screwy:

Back to the rain... Boy, I had forgotten just what a pita it can be in the rain! My seat gets soaked, and I'm driving to work with a wet a$$ Then at the end of my shift it's pouring buckets. I get to the car and hear the CIS whirring away. Hmmm. Wet fusebox anyone? Luckily I still had enough juice to turn it over and drive home. There's an inch of water on my seat aftger I open the door and all the water form the roof spills in because there's no freaking door sills.... Here we go with the soiled dipey look again
I get half an hour down the road get on the interstate and my driver's (of course) wiper just falls off! Not the blade, the WHOLE DAMN WIPER ASSEMBLY!   :banghead:
I pull it over and get soaked climbing out. (At least I'm not worried about looking like Baby Herman anymore) As semis are splashing me as I see that the mounting post for the wiper arm has no threads on it!!! Now I remember back in April I had a new windshield replaced. Hmmm. Too late to yell at them now.
So now I'm looking at retrofitting the wiper assembly from my Scirocco on it just because I'm blowing my wad on parts for the 924....
Mono wiper? Not as efficient but the uniqueness of it may just work... :screwy:

Careful Sammy, that's how I ended up with a ton of orphans in the driveway.
I can't list the cars that I've owned because it pre-dates my memory! :D
But seriously, if it's a good 'un, grab it!

I like flames, I like cabby's, I guess they can go together. I think I'm gonna need to see the end result before I pass judgement. I with you on the purple though, I had a 74' Z1B with purple metal flake flames, loved that paint work.

Empathy is pouring down like.....well rain. My top leaks everything but national secrets on me and my seats.
