It is time...(rant & question)

Rant:
OK so I was driving down the expressway yesterday afternoon, on my way home from work. No big deal I do it every day... Well going from the non-expressway to the expressway there is a lane added for about 100ft after you get onto the expressway, cross a light and it ends maybe another 100ft... So I was stopped at the red light and this Minivan pulls up next to me... Light turns green and I go like I always do... MIni van matches my speed and trys to run me into a wall to prevent me from passing him before the lane ends (what an A$$!!) so I lay on the horn (wishing I had the Hella horn in BTW) and get behind the guy and pass him on the left instead... Still on the horn I might add!!! So I pass the guy and go about my little shoe box driving way!! But this guy would have killed me I think... I hope he didn't have kids in the car...

Question:
After almost being pushed into a wall I decided I need my 200hp sooner then I thougt... Iwas gong to wait a year before I started working on the engine... well I want to get a new engine... what are my options really... here is what I want...
- 200hp
- turbo

what will I need? What is the difference in engines? (I know nothing about this kind of job so please speak english not car talk...)

A 16v VW motor from a Scirocco, Golf, Jetta etc. Try to get a whole parts car so that you have access to wiring harnesses, ECU and whatever other hardware you want swapped.

The turbo is a little trickier. You can buy a whole kit of the net, prices are all over the place. Or you can piece one together from parts lists that you can find .

PBX Cabby had a great list of links that he posted up. I'll see if I can find that for ya.

for 200hp your going to need turbo. the good news is your motor is a good base for a turbo project, low compression and a pretty strong block.
go to http://forums.vwvortex.com/ and do a search for "cis turbo" and start reading.
i have almost everything to turbo mine:

volvo 240T FD
volvo 240T WUR
intercooler
BOV
vacuum retard canister
T3 garret turbo
T3 turbo manifold
manual boost controler
i still need a downpipe, but a have a little over $400 in all the parts so you can get power for cheap.
If you can't beat them, drop the top and pimp by 'em!
