VW show

Post by sixsracing »

A co-worker gave me a poster today for a VW show in Windsor, Maine on August 7th.

I know there aren't too many of us up here but figured I would post it anyway. Dad's been wanting to go to one so I will most likely be attending. If anybody is interested or think they might attend then let me know and we can meet up. If any of you guys want to come from a ways off I can put you up too.

Here's the link

Thanks for the link.
I didn't see the info for the August show though. I really do need glasses...

Send me some info, I'll at least get one of the twins up there. If there's camping nearby, maybe I can get both of 'em up there (along with the family of course...).

VACATIONLAND VW ASSOCIATION'S
16th ANNUAL ALL VW CAR SHOW and SWAP MEET

SUNDAY, AUGUST 7th 2005

WINSDOR FAIRGROUNDS
RTE. 32 WINDSOR, MAINE

I will be attending with at least my Dad and two sons. Dad's talking about bringing his Vanagon and I will prep the cabby as best I can. Neither will be formally shown. Ridicule is one of my strong dislikes. Windsor is just East of Augusta and about 1 1/2 South of me. There are campgrounds in the area. It would be cool if we could hook up. A room is still available if you would like to drive an extra hour North.

Thanks Six.
I'll at least take the family up with her bunny. (It's the shiny one), But what i'd like to do is wagon train the twins up and then camp Saturday night. This way it's a quick run to the fairgrounds. It's 4.5 hours from home. Not a bad trip, but a tough one to get the entire family up and out at 5:00 am!
I think I'll target Old Orchard Beach as an overnight stop, possibly a bit north of there. I've got some "miles" saved up on Hampton Inn. Maybe I'll look for one of those nearby.
Thanks for the info, we should see you there!

Sounds great. After almost two years I finally get to meet somebody from this place in person.

I look forward to seeing you up there.
The 5th is my son's b-day, and I may be starting a new 3rd shift job that Sunday night. All is in the air at this point, but my son wants to go, and he's king for the weekend!

Looks like the wife's arranging for an overnight (Sat) there. Camping is at the show site as a package deal. I don't think her "bebe" is worthy of a showing, but it's part of the package.
So we should be there!

Won't be showing anything I own either. Still having trouble with Dad's van so I'm not sure it will be there. My cabby and maybe the Lexus will though.

Van is fixed, broken wire between the coil and the relay box for the digifant controls. Somewhere in the harness. I ain't looking for it so we made a jumper. Works great. I still think the distributor is a little funny so we'll be leaving a spare under the seat.

I don't know what time we will be arriving but I'm gonna hit the wife up for details tonight. We need to have some sort of arrangements so that we will recognize each other, wouldn't want to miss another member this far North.

We should be easy to spot.
Bright red/white/grey with RI plates. She also has those red Hawaiian hibiscus seat covers front and back. TOTAL CHICK CAR. Even the soccermoms in their high end SUVs snap their necks to look!
She managed to "steal" my Konigs as well!
At least mine runs better!

Total bummer. :(
I installed a new O2 sensor (her light was on) and it was missing so bad 10 minutes later I had to turn it around and head home. It took me 1/4 tank of gas to travel 35 miles! I've been tearing my hair out on it all day. Obviously we didn;t make it. Worse part is I still don't know what's caused it.
