How hard is it to...

Have you done so much to the car today that it just doesn't fit into one section, or are you too damn lazy to split it all up? Either way, this is the section for you.

Sew a seam back together that's separating on the boot cover? Anyone ever tried this? If it decides to stop raining here this decade ( ), I'll snap a pic of what I mean.

Not to hard you can use a speedy stitcher, or a large needle and dental floss. I have been sewing covers and tarps and stuff for years. Takes practice and a paire of pliers to grab the needle. Just use a lock stitch.

ROFLMAO!!!!!

Chris, go to a fabric store, like JoAnn's, and get upholstery needles (they come in a small set of around 5) and nylon thread (fishing twine works too) and start sewing 8)

Just for the record, I'm pretty handy with a needle and thread too. I even sewed some kites in the past. This delta 4 line traction kite is 5' across and will lift me off the ground in winds more than 15 mph! Thought the delta shape would look good as a penguin. :)

Kite making is so cool. I got my Dad into quality kites awhile back and he's got some real nice ones now. I have a tri-wing fokker that will pull you right to your feet in a good wind.

Yep. A plane Mfg. during WW1. They stated manufacturing a pretty unspectacular monowing, but because of the unique cam drive mechanism allowing the machine gun position to be right behind the propeller, a new deadly era of the war was dubbed the "Fokker Scourge". A few designs later introduced the DR1 triplane (3 wings), choice of the infamous Red Baron.

Funny that my first thoughts of paint was to keep my cabby red and paint the doors white with black Maltese Crosses on them...

A freind transplanted from San Diego got me hooked on stunt kites. A real blast! My current favorite is a red/black/white (there's them colors again) Ticket. Great all around flyer.

Ah the beauty of Kite flying. My dad used to love the hi-flier box kites. He took loving care with them, and then he made paracutes out of napkins, string and clothes pins He would fasten them on the line with an opened safty pin and get them to sail the string to the kite then flick them off and my brother and I killed each other to catch it.

New Orleans in the spring would have a kite fest on the river...awesome.

just awesome

I cant sew worth a crap, but repaired my boot cover just fine using what was posted above....upholstery needle and nylon thread. It really was not hard, even for an amatuer.

I sewed the straps back on and repaired the seams where it had come apart. From the top you cant tell it was ever coming apart....but if you look underneath, you can see that I was sloppy. No matter, though, since no one looks underneath :P
